About The Position
Bellingham Technical College invites applications for the following professional exempt Licensed Veterinary Technician position. This is an exempt, non-represented full-time, 10 month (Sep-June), annually continuous position. The position reports to the Dean of Professional Technical Education, with direction from the program instructors. The position will start in September, 2025. Under the direction of program faculty, the Veterinary Technician provides instructional and technical support to the Veterinary Technician program. The position is responsible for assisting with the preparation and delivery of lab instruction, demonstrating and performing common veterinary procedures and humane animal restraint techniques, and supervising students in clinical and laboratory settings. The Veterinary Technician helps ensure student safety and learning by overseeing the performance of medical procedures, providing guidance and evaluation, and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-equipped lab environment. Responsibilities also include preparing lab materials, organizing storage areas, and supporting a high-quality, hands-on learning experience that meets AVMA-accredited program standards.
