About The Position

Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited 13-doctor practice located in a modern, state of the art facility in Oakhurst, NJ. Veterinary Technicians are a vital part of Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital. Technicians are responsible for patient care and assisting the doctors in providing outstanding medical care to our patients. We are looking for hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our amazing technician team! We are currently hiring both full and part time overnight technicians. We offer a competitive salary plus overnight pay differential. Generous benefit packages are available for full time staff members. Experience in the veterinary field is required. Our Veterinary Technicians work both independently and side by side with our doctors. Technicians must have excellent communication and customer service skills. We utilize electronic medical records, so computer skills are a must. Overnight technicians are responsible for monitoring and documenting all patients and animal activity in the hospital (including kennel area) and completing treatments on hospital patients at scheduled times. Must be capable of handling critical patients in an emergency situation and relaying information to the doctor on-call. Must have experience using oxygen/anesthesia machines and various monitoring equipment. Overnight technicians are expected to maintain a clean work environment and participate in facility maintenance (routine cleaning, etc.) during their shift. Requirements

  • Experience in the veterinary field is required.
