About The Position
Mission / Overland Park Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is a 24-hour facility in the Kansas City Metro Area, dedicated to providing advanced care for animals with critical needs through board-certified specialists. Recognized as one of the "Best Veterinarians in Kansas City," the hospital is seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants and Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) for its Emergency and Specialty department. This role offers exposure to a diverse and stimulating caseload, the use of advanced imaging and monitoring tools, and access to the expertise of board-certified specialists. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding client service skills, provide excellent patient care, thrive in a team environment, and maintain composure during stressful situations. They should be dedicated to effective communication with clients and team members, committed to making a positive impact on patients and their families, and eager to fully utilize their existing skills while learning new and advanced techniques.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Veterinary Assistant experience
- Ability to maintain a positive outlook and work well in a busy environment
- Ability to provide outstanding client service and excellent patient care
- Ability to work as a team and remain composed during stressful and emotional situations
- Understanding that clear, effective communication among clients and team members is a priority
- Dedication to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families
- Looking for an opportunity to utilize your full skill set while simultaneously learning new & advanced techniques
- Ability and desire to deliver exceptional client service
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with Anesthesia, Endoscopy equipment, ultrasounds, and CT scans and MRI, or willing to be trained
