About The Position

DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is seeking a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join the Urgent Care team. The role involves assisting the Urgent Care DVM with low acuity cases, processing a diverse caseload, and maintaining a positive attitude while integrating with the emergency room flow. Candidates should have a genuine love for animals and an appreciation for the human-animal bond.

Requirements

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in the state of Oregon or another credentialed Veterinary Technician with the ability to transfer license to Oregon.
• 2+ years of experience working in the veterinary field as a technician or experienced assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred minimum of one year emergency or specialty small animal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Urgent Care DVM in seeing low acuity cases on an appointment and fast track basis.
• Process a diverse caseload of urgent cases.
• Employ critical thinking to assist with emergency room flow.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude towards patients and clients.
