About The Position

Oak Heart Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Urgent Care Lead to join our dedicated staff in Raleigh. Requirements

  • At least 5 years RVT/VA experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Veterinary Hospital

Responsibilities

  • Perform Veterinary Technician duties including but not limited to triage of incoming patients, client interactions, assisting doctors with creating patient estimates and thoroughly explaining to owners, and perform diagnostics and treatment of patients
  • Demonstrate and encourage that protocols are followed and implemented in coordination with hospital management
  • Assist and regularly communicate with Hospital Administrator regarding department needs, including: Inventory needs Staff training initiatives Workflow concerns
  • Navigate workflows amongst all departments
  • Educating and mentoring individuals of varying levels of skills and expertise
