About The Position

License transfer from outside states must be completed before hire "This position is eligible for qualified candidates to receive up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus." .LVT Pay: $25.60 - $36.80 / hourly This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through Kahuna leveling system. Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm We are looking for the right veterinary technician who has a genuine interest in oncology and has previous veterinary experience – oncology experience is not required. As an Oncology Veterinary Technician at BluePearl, you must be proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.) and proficient at drawing blood and placing IV catheters

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate cancer care for companion animals as part of their initial diagnosis, staging, and treatment (including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, electrochemotherapy, and participation in clinical trials), ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment journey.
  • Build strong relationships with pets and their pet parents, guiding them through the emotional aspects of pet care and treatment options.
  • Assist our board-certified specialist veterinary oncologists with diagnostics, treatments, and patient monitoring.
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medication administration, and home care needs.
