About The Position

Requirements

  • A valid Veterinary Technician license in Washington State is required for this role.
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Proficient at drawing blood and placing IV catheters.
  • Previous veterinary experience is required; oncology experience is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate cancer care for companion animals as part of their initial diagnosis, staging, and treatment (including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, electrochemotherapy, and participation in clinical trials), ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment journey.
  • Build strong relationships with pets and their pet parents, guiding them through the emotional aspects of pet care and treatment options.
  • Assist our board-certified specialist veterinary oncologists with diagnostics, treatments, and patient monitoring.
  • Educate clients on treatment plans, medication administration, and home care needs.
