About The Position

VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is looking to expand our specialty team! Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking an Experienced Neurology Technician to join our Specialty Team. Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, or experienced Veterinary Assistants welcome to apply. Veterinary Specialists is a 24-7 hybrid and specialty referral hospital located in West Hartford, CT. Requirements

• Certified Technician with at least 2 years of anesthesia experience in a specialty hospital
• Neurology experience preferred
• Positive attitude and ability to assist with case flow
• Support the specialty team with challenging surgical cases
• Provide training and support as appropriate

Responsibilities

• Advanced Anesthesia monitoring
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collect patient history & physical exams
• Refill medications and communicate with clients
• Medical calculations
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Provide compassionate care for all patients
