About The Position

Join the VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center team! VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is actively seeking a full-time Experienced Veterinary Technician (CVTs & VAs welcome to apply) to join our well-established surgery team. We feature a state-of-the-art facility with a talented team of eight board certified specialists providing the most comprehensive (24-7-365) veterinary medicine available in the region. We are dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care and exceptional client services and have cultivated a highly skilled and motivated technical team to fulfill that mission. We are proud to offer a wide range of diagnostics including in-house MRI, Ultrasound and Endoscopy, Digital Radiography, Minimally Invasive Surgery, ICU with Telemetry and Oxygen Therapy. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience, CVT Preferred
  • Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with diagnostic testing including sample collection, venipuncture, radiography, submitting and running lab work
  • Perform sedation and anesthesia for procedures
  • Assist in patient procedures: preparation of patients, instruments, equipment
  • Fill medications
  • Plan, organize, and manage the daily flow of services
  • Maintenance of equipment used in Internal Medicine service
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and complete
  • General nursing care
  • Additional duties as assigned
