About The Position

Veterinary Technician I – Foster The Arizona Humane Society is looking for a dedicated full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Foster Team working 4 10 hours shifts including 1 weekend day. This position will report to our state-of-the-art Rob and Melani Walton Papago Park Campus. As a Veterinary Technician in our Foster Department you will act as the Veterinarian's primary medical support person for pets in foster care. You will begin the examination procedure and continue to assist the doctor throughout the examination, diagnosis, and treatment phases. Requirements

• High schooldiploma/GED.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working as a veterinary technician in a veterinary clinic/hospital setting.
• Must be proficient with TPR, vaccine administration, implanting microchips, fluid therapy, laboratory procedures, and medication.
• Must know phlebotomy, immunology, parasitology, endocrinology, pharmacology and perform safe and humane animal handling.

Responsibilities
