About The Position
The Veterinary Technician 1 is responsible for assisting the veterinarians in documentation, triage, and management of laboratory animal health cases. Also responsible for daily health observations, preventive health care, environmental enrichment and handling and restraining of laboratory animals. The role includes performing routine veterinary technical skills, assessing and following up on animal health concerns, generating animal treatment records, administering various therapeutic measures, and participating in colony management. The technician will also maintain appropriate medical records, assist in providing leadership and training to other laboratory personnel, and keep inventory of veterinary supplies.
