We are a two doctor general practice facility that offers a wide range of services including Wellness, Preventative care, Routine care, Surgery and Dental procedures. Requirements

  • Registered as a veterinary technician.
  • Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a veterinary technician working with dogs and cats.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate and quality patient care while utilizing a low-stress handling techniques.
  • Proficient technical nursing skills, including but not limited to: venipuncture , catheter placement, administration of oral, topical, and injectable medications, diagnostic testing procedures, triage and basic examination.
  • Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients are receiving the best possible care and communicating frequently with the team.
  • Recognize subtle change in clinical status.
  • Discharge instructions with clients.
  • Complete estimates, basic record keeping .
  • Inducing, maintaining, and monitoring anesthesia for procedures.
  • Preparing patients for their surgical procedures.
  • Recovering patients from anesthesia.
  • Utilize monitoring equipment and recognize trends.
  • Dentistry and dental radiographs.
  • Pharmacy duties
  • Processing laboratory samples in-house and preparing laboratory samples for outside labs.
  • Diagnostic Imaging .
