VCA Animal Specialty Group is a busy 24 hour emergency and specialty hospital in Los Angeles, approximately 10 minutes from Downtown, LA! We are seeking highly skilled and knowledgeable technicians that have extensive experience in Emergency & Critical Care. Compensation: $28 - $35 / hr * Compensation dependent on experience, licensing, and schedule. Shifts: Swing and overnight 4/10s.

  • Be an advocate for the patients and provide top quality medicine for highly critical patients on an hourly basis.
  • Have outstanding time management and organizational skills to keep up with and maintain hourly treatments.
  • Maintain reliability (pertaining to time and attendance) to ensure the patients have adequate care.
  • Be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ability to triage and prioritize critical cases.
  • Ability to see the big picture to ensure each patient is provided the best possible care.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary emergency hospital.
  • Must have at least 1 year working directly with emergency and critical patients.
  • Excellent communication skills while always maintaining kindness, compassion, and respect.
  • Experience with triple lumen catheters is a plus.
  • Inducing (if RVT), monitoring, and recovering patients from anesthesia.
