Alpine Animal Hospital is hiring a Certified Veterinary Technician! Our veterinary technicians work closely with our veterinarians to provide high-quality patient care and help them operate more efficiently by handling technical tasks. Your responsibilities will include—though not be limited to—assisting with procedures, performing client callbacks, managing front-of-house inventory, conducting physical exams, performing dental procedures, assisting in surgery, administering immunizations, providing compassionate euthanasia services, and educating clients. You may also conduct veterinary technician-only appointments for services such as suture removal, nail trims, vaccine administration (when a doctor’s exam is not required), lab work, surgery admissions and discharges, and other technical procedures. A solid understanding of pharmaceuticals, common diseases (including symptoms, transmission, treatment, and prevention), and general preventative health care is essential. At Alpine Animal Hospital, our team is hardworking, supportive, and collaborative. We value a positive, fun work environment where learning and professional growth are encouraged. In addition to practicing excellent medicine alongside exceptional colleagues, you’ll enjoy consistent scheduling, a healthy work-life balance, and a strong benefits package.
