The Best Friends Animal Hospital, part of the Suveto network of hospitals, located in Manchester, New Hampshire, has an opening for a fulltime Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our team. Applicants must be a Certified Technician in the State or be able to sit for the VTNE. Responsibilities include strong client communication skills, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, radiography, lab chemistries and records management. Scheduling flexibility is required. Requirements

  • Experience in a general practice or emergency setting preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
  • Candidates with experience can expect a wage commensurate with their knowledge and skill set. We place enormous importance on continuing education and want to see your career flourish. We provide CE for our staff at least annually with plenty of additional opportunities to travel and visit conferences and other education venues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
  • Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory work
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed
  • Provide excellent client communication and education
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
