About The Position

Jacksonville Community Pet Clinic is looking for an experienced veterinary technician or assistant to join our dedicated team. If you’re skilled in clinical support, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to be part of a practice where your experience is respected, we’d love to hear from you. License preferred but not required.

Requirements

Prior experience in a clinical veterinary setting (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
Comfortable with both the technical and client-facing aspects of the role
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Able to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced environment
Available for evening shifts and rotating Saturdays

Responsibilities

Assist in surgical procedures, dental cleanings, radiology, and patient treatments
Perform technical skills such as venipuncture, catheter placement, lab testing, and monitoring anesthesia
Communicate with clients about patient care, treatment plans, and home care instructions
Support efficient workflow and accurate recordkeeping
Work closely with veterinarians and fellow staff to provide high-quality care
