About The Position

VCA Veterinary Specialists of CT is seeking a Lead Veterinary Anesthesia Technician to join our Specialty Team. Credentialed Veterinary Technicians, and experienced Veterinary Assistants are welcome to apply. Veterinary Specialists is a 24-7 hybrid and specialty referral hospital located in West Hartford, CT. Requirements

• Certified Technician with at least 2 years of anesthesia experience in a specialty hospital
• Positive attitude
• Ability to assist with case flow
• Support the specialty team with challenging surgical cases
• Provide training and support as appropriate

Responsibilities

• Advanced Anesthesia procedural monitoring
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collect patient history & physical exams
• Refill medications and communicate with clients
• Medical calculations
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Work collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Provide compassionate care for all patients
