About The Position

VCA Foster Animal Hospital is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) with more than 1 year of experience including surgical prep and assisting. Our AAHA-accredited facility has been helping pets live long, healthy and happy lives for more than 50 years. We work hard to deliver the best medical care for each pet, and are looking for like-minded professionals to join the medical team.

Requirements

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) credentials required.
• More than 1 year of experience in veterinary practice, including surgical prep and assisting.

Responsibilities

• Support technician and doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
• Win the confidence of every pet parent by delivering an outstanding client experience.
• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments.
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures.
• Assist in surgical preparation and procedures.
• Conduct dental procedures and radiology.
• Perform laboratory work and venipuncture.
• Place catheters and manage pharmacy tasks.
• Oversee patient recovery and provide compassionate care to hospitalized animals.
