About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgery & Sterile Supply Assistant to join our Surgery team! Do you have a passion for animals? Are you looking to improve your skills and learn more about the veterinary health industry? Would you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment? We are seeking a Sterile Supply Assistant with a self-motivated, positive attitude to add to our surgical team. This person should be organized and focused on maintaining high-quality instruments and patient care through sterile preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instruments and operating room for surgery.
• Assist with surgical prep.
• Assist with intra-operative duties/scrub-in.
• IV Catheter placement and venipuncture.
• Assist with appointments.
• Radiographs.
• Client communication.
• Troubleshooting and removing faulty equipment from service to submit for repair or replacement.
• Maintaining appropriate quantities of surgical supplies and equipment.
• Decontaminating and cleaning operating rooms, sterile supply room, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Cleaning and sterilizing instruments and wrapping packs.
• Serving as a resource/reference to surgical team with regards to surgical equipment.
