At Vetcor, we put you at the center of the externship experience to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to help you reach your goals. As an extern at a community-based Vetcor practice, you will experience different perspectives on veterinary medicine and learn alongside experienced doctors using their medical autonomy to make treatment decisions in-house. Externships typically last 1-3 weeks, during which you will: Develop technical skills · Assist in surgeries Practice decision-making Take part in client communication Experience healthy team dynamics Responsibilities may vary based on the needs of each practice.
