About The Position

Client Service Representative Northwest Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team. This position pays $16.00-17.00 per hour, dependent on experience, education, certification, etc. Must be available Saturdays 7am to 3pm and Sundays 9 am to 1pm and various hours throughout the week. We desire a receptionist extraordinaire, who would like to become a long-term member of our amazing team! This position requires patience, exuberance and energy. VCA Northwest Animal Hospital is an AAHA accredited, full service veterinary hospital who caters to our clients and their pets. We offer boarding, doggie daycare, grooming, medical and surgical services. We have a supportive, fun team of associates who enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry. Our veterinarians and staff are dedicated to creating a learning environment for all. We’re looking for a personable yet highly professional “service extraordinaire” individual to join us in delivering our mission to our clients and their pets. Weekly hours will vary between 10-29 hours per week depending upon hospital need. Responsibilities

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
