About The Position

Rose City Veterinary Hospital is Hiring! Rose City Veterinary Hospital is the oldest operating veterinary hospital in Portland. We pride ourselves in modern medicine, with old-fashioned love. We strive to cultivate a supportive, fun environment that encourages camaraderie and opportunities to learn and grow. We are looking to add a full-time Client Care Representative to complete our front desk team. Our Veterinary Receptionists are the face of our practice. This role plays an important part in our community reputation and in supporting our clients and patients by providing exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position with a four-day/week schedule, and Saturday shifts will be required. A love of animals and a customer service background is a great fit for this position. Knowledge of veterinary medicine is a plus, but not required. We are willing to train the right person. Requirements

  • Confidence in handling high call volume and juggling competing priorities
  • Compassionate communication skills, especially in sensitive or emotional situations
  • A warm, confident communication style and passion for helping clients and pets
  • Ability to collaborate closely with doctors and technicians to support patient care
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships

  • Knowledge of veterinary medicine

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phones, route calls appropriately, and respond to voicemails promptly
  • Schedule appointments and manage a multi-doctor calendar efficiently
  • Manage medical record requests, reminders, and basic administrative tasks
  • Handle client concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when needed
  • Make outbound calls/texts/emails to confirm appointments and follow up on care
