About The Position

As a Caregiver Support Staff at PAW Health Network, you will be part of a 24-Hour Animal Care Center that provides a variety of services to the community, including walk-ins, routine preventative care, urgent care, and orthopedic services. The role involves engaging in The Collaborative Process (TCP) to foster a dynamic environment for growth and problem-solving. You will be responsible for providing timely and professional communications with caregivers and coworkers, assisting with appointment scheduling, processing payments, and maintaining hospital logistics to ensure efficiency. Additionally, you will participate in regular meetings and provide feedback to improve operational guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred.
  • Compassionate and calm team player.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Highly organized with computer skills.
  • Self-starter with a desire to advance knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit, process, and integrate input from team members and administrators.
  • Recognize areas of conflict or disagreement and address them through open dialogue.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by treating others with fairness and respect.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in practice management software, electronic medical records, Microsoft Office products, and ASANA.
  • Greet caregivers in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Receive incoming calls, provide information, and route as needed.
  • Ensure caregiver information is recorded accurately and consistently.
  • Assist with appointment scheduling between caregivers and medical staff.
  • Assist incoming patients based on urgency of care and available staff resources.
  • Perform clerical duties including filing, copying, faxing, linking, emailing, mailing, and scanning.
  • Process payments for invoices using various payment methods.
  • Utilize practice management software to finalize invoices and process refunds.
  • Reconcile the cash drawer and payment transactions against the end-of-day report.
  • Coordinate with the Medical Support Team to answer caregiver questions.
  • Maintain hospital logistics to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Be a resource for inventory control to aid in loss prevention.
  • Ensure the front lobby remains clean throughout the shift.
  • Engage in The Collaborative Process and attend regular meetings.
  • Track progress through Core Training and provide feedback on guidelines and processes.
