About The Position

The Veterinary Receptionist at VetUrgency is a client-focused role responsible for providing compassionate and professional service to pet owners in an urgent care setting. Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor.
• Ability to communicate clearly and calmly in person and on the phone.
• Experience in a customer service role, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.

• Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly and professionally upon their arrival.
• Assess each client's needs and the pet's condition immediately upon arrival.
• Determine the urgency of emergency cases as 'stat' or 'standard'.
• Confirm all appointments in advance and provide clients with accurate preparation information.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during the handling of pet remains.
• Respond to non-patient calls and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients.
