About The Position

The Veterinary Product and Compliance Specialist role at Boehringer Ingelheim involves addressing product inquiries, complaints, and adverse events while ensuring compliance with US regulations. Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic veterinary practice issues and procedures.
  • Attention to detail and strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage conflict and balance business needs with user friendliness.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, demonstrating initiative and flexibility.
  • Experience in the Animal Health industry or regulatory experience is a plus.
  • Associate Degree or higher in Life Sciences or Veterinary Technician and a minimum of 3 years experience in a veterinary clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Receive all product inquiries, complaints, and suspected adverse events related to BIVI products.
  • Provide information and support regarding proper product use, adverse events, and product defects.
  • Maintain technical and clinical expertise related to BIVI products through continuous learning.
  • Document all communications in the BIVI Validated Database (PVWorks) according to compliance requirements.
  • Ensure timely communication and adherence to BIVI SOPs, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Support sales representatives by providing technical support and attending veterinary conferences.
  • Research topics and prepare reports as requested by management.
  • Participate in call analysis and report trends or issues regarding product usage.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, adhering to all regulations and company policies.
