Veterinary Practice Manager – Experienced Leader Wanted Location: Las Vegas, NV Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Are you an experienced Veterinary Practice Manager ready to take the reins of a thriving, compassionate, and forward-thinking veterinary team? We’re seeking a dynamic professional to lead our practice, support our clinicians, and ensure the seamless operation of our hospital. About Us Northwest Pet Hospital is a small animal veterinary practice dedicated to providing exceptional medical care and outstanding client service. Our passionate team values collaboration, innovation, and a genuine love for animals. The Role As Practice Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the smooth running of our clinic, balancing leadership, operational excellence, and team wellbeing. You’ll work closely with the Medical Director, veterinarians, technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional service to our clients and their pets.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in veterinary or healthcare management
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and interpret financial reports
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for animal care and supporting veterinary professionals
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Work exposure to all aspects of a business enterprise, with demonstrated competence in budgeting and financial reporting and in staff management.
  • Minimum three years working in a veterinary practice.
  • Feel and express a genuine liking for animals and for working in an animal care environment.
  • Must be able to work under the broad general administrative supervision of the owner and field leader, and to be able to use sound personal judgement in selecting methods, establishing priorities, and arriving at conclusions.
  • Must be able to tactfully demonstrate “take charge” capabilities.
  • May be required to work uncommon hours, overtime, and be subject to recall in emergency situations
  • Deal intelligibly, pleasantly and efficiently with clients on the phone and in person, often doing several things at a time.
  • Display tact and diplomacy with staff members and clients.
  • Work almost constantly in the presence of other staff members and clients.
  • Be flexible in attitude and work habits.
  • Quickly learn how to pronounce, know the meaning of and spell commonly used veterinary terms.
  • Perform basic computer skills, type 45 words per minute and use a 10 key calculator.
  • Work requires lifting and carrying records and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs; requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
  • May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises and animals feces. May be exposed to bites, scratches and contagious diseases.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Pulse software a plus
  • Certified Veterinary Practice Manager designation is desirable, but not required
