The Animal Cardiology Center (TACC) is a brand new, purpose-built standalone Cardiology focused specialty provider opening in Westchester. Under the leadership of board-certified veterinary cardiologist Dr. Justin Carlson, our specialty team is at the forefront of cardiac care, combining cutting-edge diagnostics with compassionate, personalized treatment. At TACC, we’re not just redefining what’s possible in veterinary cardiology, we’re setting the standard. This is our second TACC location, and we're building it with the same focus that made our first a destination for exceptional patient outcomes, supportive and transparent team culture, and forward-thinking medicine. We’re looking for a dynamic Practice Manager who thrives in a high-performing, high-touch environment and is energized by the opportunity to lead at one of the most distinctive specialty practices in the region. As Practice Manager at TACC, you’ll take the helm of daily operations, driving both clinical excellence and business success. This is your chance to play a key role in shaping the future of veterinary cardiology while mentoring a collaborative, tight-knit team that cares deeply about their patients and each other. From guiding workflows to elevating client service, you’ll be the force behind the scenes that keeps our clinic operating at peak performance. We’re seeking someone who leads with integrity, thinks strategically, and is ready to build up processes and workflows in a newly launched practice. This is a launch position as we open our 2nd TACC location! You will spend your first few weeks training, building rapport, and establishing a team workflow before opening a brand new specialty-only practice. Requirements

Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a veterinary or medical hospital setting
Strong understanding of veterinary operations; specialty surgery or ophthalmology experience preferred
Bachelor's Degree in hospital administration, business management, or a related field preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to lead and inspire a diverse team
Demonstrated experience collaborating with clinical leadership to drive hospital-wide goals
Passion for animal welfare and a deep commitment to delivering exceptional patient care

Responsibilities

Partner with the Medical Director to align clinical goals with hospital operations, ensuring a high standard of patient care and service excellence
Oversee the hospital’s day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow across all departments
Implement policies, procedures, and protocols in partnership with the Medical Director to support patient care, safety, and team performance
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Collaborate with the Medical Director to lead, mentor, and support a diverse team of technicians, assistants, and administrative staff
Foster a positive, collaborative workplace that encourages continuous learning and professional development
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance evaluations, and staff engagement strategies to promote long-term retention
Oversee daily financial close and manage all cash handling, including bank deposits, petty cash, and the hospital change box
Reconcile credit card expenses and submit through Concur; manage internal invoices and staff discounts (DVM pets, Vet Fund)
Monitor KPIs and financial metrics; review performance regularly with the team and Nightingale leadership
Review monthly P&Ls and help track goals and hospital progress
Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely resolution
Support the delivery of high-quality patient care by maintaining operational systems that enhance clinical outcomes and client satisfaction
Oversee client service standards, including communication, follow-up, and overall experience
Address escalated client concerns with empathy and professionalism
Maintain strong referral relationships by ensuring smooth communication and mutual support with partner hospitals and DVMs
Support the Medical Director in planning and carrying out goals to help the hospital grow and succeed over time
Stay current with trends in veterinary cardiology and healthcare operations; integrate best practices into daily workflows
Represent the hospital with vendors, referring partners, and the broader veterinary community to support reputation and visibility
