About The Position

Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS) is excited to announce the expansion of our specialty services to include Veterinary Ophthalmology in our Buzzards Bay location in 2027. We are currently seeking a board-certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist or residency-trained veterinarian to join our growing team of specialists and help us build a high-quality ophthalmology service within our well-established emergency and referral hospitals. CCVS is a busy, multi-specialty referral and emergency hospital serving pets throughout Cape Cod and southeastern Massachusetts. With locations in Buzzards Bay and Dennis, our team includes specialists in the established disciplines of emergency & critical care, internal medicine, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, exotics, anesthesiology, and diagnostic imaging. With our expansion, we're building to include dentistry, ophthalmology, and neurology. Requirements

• Diplomate of the ACVO or residency-completed veterinarian eligible for board certification by 2027
• A motivated, team-oriented individual with a strong commitment to patient care and client communication
• An interest in mentoring and the professional development of others
• Passion for building something new in a supportive, forward-thinking hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of ophthalmic conditions
• Collaborate with other specialists and emergency clinicians in a team-based care model
• Help establish and grow the ophthalmology service from the ground up
• Support the education of interns, residents, and veterinary staff
• Contribute to a culture of compassionate, high-quality care
