About The Position

As the Operations Manager at Coastal Animal Referral Emergency (CARE), you will collaborate with a dedicated management team to equip staff with the necessary tools to excel in their roles while ensuring clients receive high-quality care at the emergency hospital. This position involves overseeing operations, enhancing workflow performance, and maintaining compliance with hospital protocols.

Requirements

• 1 year leadership experience (required)
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (required)
• 2 years working in a veterinary hospital setting (preferred)
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide status and financial updates for hospitalized patients and create home care instructions under the direction of the veterinarian.
• Set client expectations, handle disputes, and discuss payment options.
• Maintain hospital equipment and inventory, ensuring treatment areas are well stocked with functional supplies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using a paperless medical record system.
• Establish client communication protocols and facilitate client satisfaction.
• Facilitate transfers and referrals of patients needing specialty or continued care.
• Ensure Triage Coordinator is supported and patients are seen in a timely manner.
• Review all medical records for the past 48 hours to ensure completeness and create tasks for respective doctors if needed.
• Assist in developing and maintaining new hire training protocols and testing.
