About The Position
As a Veterinary Laboratory Technician at IDEXX, you will be a key contributor at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world. You will perform laboratory testing that helps veterinarians diagnose and treat pets. This role is situated in a fast-paced work environment that encourages teamwork and quality, while also offering opportunities for personal growth. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits, and you will be using automated analyzers, microscopes, and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries, and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal, or pet biopsy samples that we receive in our lab by the thousands every day. You will set up and run lab tests, reading and releasing results according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You can expect to specialize in one or more areas such as Hematology, Chemistry/Endocrinology, Urinalysis, Cytology, and Immunology/Serology. Each of these areas involves specific testing techniques and methodologies that are critical for accurate diagnosis and treatment of animal health issues.
