  • Identify and prepare samples for internal and external diagnostic testing without supervision.
  • Prepare laboratory/regulatory paperwork for testing.
  • Produce vaccines and conduct quality control.
  • Perform laboratory testing such as SIV ELISA, PRRS ELISA, M. hyo ELISA, fecal floatation, TPC, Quality Control Testing, PCR testing for PRRS, TGE and other diseases.
  • Manage and prioritize daily schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain inventory and purchase supplies.
  • Clean and sanitize laboratory containers and tools.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including autoclaves, incubators, centrifuges, and more.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as coding invoices and managing diagnostic results.
  • Handle biohazard materials and ensure proper disposal.
  • Follow safety and laboratory policies.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Lab experience preferred.
  • Basic swine knowledge preferred.
  • Basic computer knowledge required (Microsoft Office programs).
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
