About The Position

Catskill Veterinary Services is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internist to join our team. As the primary referral hub for Sullivan County and the Hudson Valley, we are the destination for the complex, the chronic, and the diagnostic mysteries that require a specialist’s eye. We are offering you the chance to practice high-level Internal Medicine in a private practice setting that offers the diagnostic capabilities of a large referral center with the personalized touch of a doctor-owned hospital. WE ARE PROUDLY VETERINARIAN-FOUNDED & OWNED. We aren't run by a remote board of investors. We are run by Veterinarians. We make decisions based on medical best practices, not shareholder returns. THE INTERNIST’S OPPORTUNITY: ● Highly Competitive Compensation: Generous Base Salary + Production percentages (with no negative accrual) commensurate with experience and Board status. ● Diagnostic Arsenal: You don’t need to fight for budget approvals here. We are equipped with top-of-the-line ultrasound, endoscopy/laparoscopy, and advanced in-house laboratory capabilities. You need the tools to find the answer; we make sure you have them. ● Instant Caseload: An Internist is only as busy as their referral base. We have a massive internal network of General Practice and Emergency veterinarians across three locations, feeding you cases daily. The Cushing’s, the IBD, the Renal, and the PU/PD cases are already here waiting for you. ● Future Growth: We are breaking ground on a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital opening in 2026. You will be transitioning into one of the premier veterinary facilities in the region. --- ABOUT CATSKILL VETERINARY SERVICES We are the "Full Scope" medical hub for the region. We bridge the gap between local primary care and tertiary referral centers. ● The Role: You will be the authority on complex medical management. From performing abdominal ultrasounds and endoscopic biopsies to managing complicated endocrine, gastrointestinal, and immune-mediated cases, you will elevate the standard of care for the region. ● Collaborative Medicine: Internal Medicine is the glue between departments. You will work alongside our Surgeons, Criticalists (if applicable), and ER doctors to manage the medical side of surgical and trauma cases. ● Honoring the Bond: Internal Medicine is often about managing chronic conditions and maintaining quality of life. We support your dedication to the long-term relationships formed with these clients and patients. --- THE SUPPORT YOU DESERVE You diagnose. We execute. We know that complex workups require a highly skilled nursing team. ● Licensed & Capable: You will be supported by a powerhouse team of Licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVTs)and experienced assistants. They are proficient in atraumatic sampling, catheter placement, and detailed patient monitoring. ● A Culture of Curiosity: We will meet you with the energy and drive you bring to the table. Our team wants to learn why we are treating, not just what we are treating. If you enjoy discussing the pathophysiology of a case or teaching ultrasound techniques, you will find an engaged team here. --- LIFE IN THE HUDSON VALLEY Trade the referral center grind for a high-quality life. Located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, our practice offers the perfect balance of professional satisfaction and personal lifestyle. ● Ideally Located: We are a short, scenic drive to NYC. You can enjoy the city culture on your days off, but live in an area with a lower cost of living, more land, and less traffic. ● The Good Life: The Hudson Valley is the food and drink capital of New York State. Enjoy farm-to-table dining, world-class wineries, and a vibrant art scene (Storm King, Dia:Beacon, Bethel Woods). ● Outdoor Access: Decompress after a shift by hiking Minnewaska, kayaking the Hudson or Delaware Rivers, or skiing in the winter.
