About The Position

BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital in NE Portland (Hollywood) is hiring a full-time Veterinary Doctor Assistant for our Critical Care team. We offer competitive pay based on experience, shift differentials, and sign-on bonuses for advanced skills. We’re serious about medicine and about taking care of our people. Our culture is built on respect, empathy, inclusivity, and collaboration. You’ll find smart, kind humans, a lot of teamwork, teaching woven into daily life, and yes—plenty of laughter. We practice advanced emergency and specialty medicine alongside an incredible group of DVMs in Emergency/ICU, Critical Care, Ophthalmology, Surgery, and Internal Medicine, supported by 5 VTS, seasoned CVTs, and an amazing Client Care team. We’re also leaders in veterinary mental health and actually mean it—licensed social workers, strong mental health benefits, and leadership that understands this work is hard. We’re looking for detail-oriented, compassionate Veterinary Doctor Assistants who thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to keep growing. This is a full-time ER/ICU role with day and swing shift openings. Weekend and holiday availability required (because ER life). We believe in a family-like culture where people are supported, heard, and valued. We show up for each other—and for our patients—every single day.
