About The Position

Burlington Emergency & Veterinary Specialist (BEVS), in Williston, VT, is seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Dentist to lead and grow our dentistry and oral surgery service. Requirements

  • Must hold a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution
  • Board-certified (Diplomate of the AVDC) or residency-trained in Veterinary Dentistry
  • Eligibility to obtain a State of Vermont Veterinary Licensure
  • Strong clinical, surgical, and communication skills
  • Commitment to teamwork, client service, and continued learning
  • Experience working in a specialty or referral hospital is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of oral and maxillofacial diseases, trauma, and dental conditions in companion animals
  • Perform advanced dental procedures, including root canals, periodontal surgery, extractions, jaw fracture repair, and oral mass removals
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging, including dental radiographs and cone beam CT scans
  • Collaborate with specialty and emergency departments to provide integrated, comprehensive care
  • Educate clients and referring veterinarians on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventative dental care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to a culture of safety, excellence, and compassion
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
