About The Position

Virginia Veterinary Centers (VVC) Short Pump is dedicated to advancing veterinary medicine while delivering high-quality, compassionate care that leads to better patient outcomes. Our Richmond facility provides 24/7 emergency and specialty services supported by board-certified experts in Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Neurology, Dentistry, and Ophthalmology. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology-including a CT scanner, CT Cone Beam, MRI, LINAC, radioactive iodine therapy, digital radiography, ultrasonography, high-flow oxygen, ventilators, and minimally invasive surgical capabilities-we offer the tools you need to provide gold-standard critical care. Coming soon: Fluoroscopy, to further enhance our diagnostic and treatment options. And there's more-March 4, 2025, VVC will move into a brand-new, 32,000-square-foot facility featuring: An ICU designed for criticalists, Advanced oxygen Therapy, Dedicated Feline ICU, Dedicated space for mechanical ventilation and advanced oxygen therapy, A collaborative, multi-specialty environment with top-tier support staff, A large conference center for CE and staff training, 7 ORs.

Requirements

• Board certification in Critical Care or equivalent experience.
• Strong passion for critical care and emergency veterinary medicine.
• Ability to work in a team-first culture.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a high-volume caseload environment.
• Interest in teaching and mentoring junior staff.
