About The Position

Buffalo Veterinary Group , a leading specialty and emergency hospital in Buffalo, New York is seeking a Board -Certified or Residency -Trained Veterinary Criticalist to join its growing, progressive team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in emergency and critical care, possess strong leadership abilities, and demonstrate a passion for providing the highest quality of care to our patients. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a thriving referral hospital that offers a dynamic caseload, state -of -the -art facility and equipment, while working with a collaborative team of additional specialists and experienced emergency clinicians.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of New York (or able to apply)
  • Board certification or nearing completion of residency program in applicable specialty area

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced critical care to patients in the ICU
  • Oversee and manage the emergency and critical care department
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients
  • Collaborate with other veterinary specialists and support staff
  • Mentor and train veterinary interns, residents, and technicians
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary emergency and critical care
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
