About The Position

VCA Aurora Animal Hospital invites you to be our newest Emergency Patient Care Coordinator! As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our Doctors and Technician team by ensuring a seamless and positive experience for our clients and patients. Your ability to create a welcoming, low-stress environment will be essential in delivering exceptional patient care and client service.

Requirements

• Confidence around pets
• Medical background, such as veterinary technician, human healthcare, or pharmaceutical
• Medical terminology training
• Ability to work weekends and evenings. This is an overnight position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing in-depth education on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Coordinate patient care services to ensure efficient workflow and continuity of care.
• Accurately enter and review charges to maintain precise billing and medical records.
• Collaborate with all hospital departments to support seamless communication and patient care.
• Manage and maintain medical records, charts, reports, and correspondence with accuracy and confidentiality.
