About The Position

At Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital (CDVRH) located in Latham, NY, we are dedicated to advancing veterinary medicine through leadership, education, and exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking an Assistant Client Care Supervisor to help lead our front desk team and ensure an outstanding experience for every client who walks through our doors.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer relations experience (veterinary experience a plus!)
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to calmly and professionally resolve difficult or stressful client and employee situations with empathy and respect.
  • Strong communication skills to foster collaboration between client care staff, specialists, and technical teams, ensuring seamless hospital operations.
  • Exceptional First Impressions: A person who effortlessly leaves a positive and lasting first impression.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Adaptability and Multitasking: Ability to navigate unexpected situations with ease.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Client Care HSM in upholding and enhancing an exceptional client experience.
  • Foster clear and effective communication between hospital departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Manage scheduling to maintain optimal staffing levels based on client needs and hospital flow.
  • Develop, distribute, and analyze client reviews, using feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain a strong presence within the Client Care Department, providing guidance and support daily.
  • Participate in hiring efforts, including recruitment, interviewing, and selection in collaboration with Talent Acquisition.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition.
  • Help develop, refine, and update training programs to ensure all client care team members are well-equipped and knowledgeable.
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance support for team members, including participation in disciplinary processes when necessary.
  • Serve as a client concierge, ensuring every pet parent receives compassionate and attentive service.
