Animal Dermatology Group (ADG) is the largest veterinary dermatology business in the U.S., providing the highest quality of specialty care to pets with acute and chronic skin conditions. Animal Dermatology Clinic - White Plains is seeking a Veterinary Assistant. This is a hybrid role that will share duties between assisting and front desk.

  • Demonstrate excellent relations with client/pets in the waiting area and exam rooms
  • Exceed the client’s expectations of service
  • Provide compassionate nursing care as the top priority for all patients
  • Perform housekeeping/maintenance tasks
  • Perform a cursory examination of an animal
  • Recognize potential patient issues
  • Clearly communicate findings to a doctor
  • Maintain record keeping
  • Fill prescriptions and dispense medications as prescribed by the doctor
  • Previous experience or training/education in a veterinary facility
  • Friendly, outgoing, and 'people oriented'
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties
  • Telephone and computer skills are necessary
  • Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
  • Medical related skills including phlebotomy, preparing and restraining animals during procedures, assisting in surgery, applying bandages and/or splints, wound care, and advising pet owners on proper care
