Location: VCA Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals 2132 Amnicola Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37406 Shift availability: Day, swing, & overnight hours available.

Requirements

• Proficient in veterinary assisting duties including those listed above.
• One or more years of veterinary assisting experience.
• Experience with emergency & critical care and specialty medicine preferred.
• Available to work some weekends to meet scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Support our 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care service by providing care, diagnostics and treatments for our patients.
• Provide compassionate patient care.
• Educate and care for clients.
• Perform gentle, safe, and effective veterinary patient handling.
• Collect and process lab samples.
• Administer pharmacy and medication.
• Assist in diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare for and assist in surgeries.
• Monitor anesthesia.
• Maintain medical records.
