The successful Internal Medicine candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with t he expert ise and technic al know- how to make them hap pen .
Requirements
- Previous Emergency or Specialty experience
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on client care
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Familiar with common disease processes
- Strong medical math skills. (Including being able to calculate fluid rate, common CRI’s and multimodal drug infusion.)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in advanced imaging (preferred)
- Experience in advanced procedures (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Radiology
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Physical examinations and patient assessment
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients
- Administer medications, and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
- Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care.
