We’re currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team and help us deliver outstanding veterinary care every day. Location: 16625 Dove Canyon Rd, Suite 106 Suite 106, San Diego, CA 92127 Competitive pay: $22.50 - $27.00 Schedule: 7:30 am - 4 pm Monday through Friday / 8 am - 2 pm Saturday Job Summary: As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our veterinary team and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the hospital. You’ll assist with patient care, handle administrative and cleaning duties, and help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for pets and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Safely restrain animals for exams and treatments
- Perform basic patient care including feeding, walking, and monitoring recovery
- Clean and sterilize exam rooms, equipment, and kennels
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with data entry
- Support front desk operations including check-in, check-out, and scheduling
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
- Maintain inventory and restock supplies
