This role is also a great opportunity for someone interested in becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician. What You’ll Do Veterinary Assistants play an important role in supporting patient care and ensuring our hospital runs smoothly.
Requirements
- Experience working in a veterinary hospital is preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Compassion for patients and their families
- Ability to work collaboratively with doctors and team members
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Interest in growing within the veterinary field
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
- Monitor patients and support their comfort and safety
- Perform laboratory duties and assist with diagnostic testing
- Support pharmacy tasks and medication preparation
- Provide compassionate care and handling for patients
- Deliver exceptional customer service and communication with clients
- Help educate clients about pet health and treatment plans
