About The Position

As Veterinary Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Duties will include: Compassionate patient care Client education and care Venipuncture and catheter placement Radiology and diagnostics Lab sample collection and processing Surgical preparation and assisting Anesthesia monitoring Dentistry Medication preparation and administration Safe and effective patient handling and restraint Medical recordkeeping

Requirements

One or more years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
Strong technical skills with desire to continue to learn and improve
Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
Able to work well independently as well as part of a team
