Veterinary Assistant – Part Time No Weekends | No Holidays | Supportive Team If you're a Veterinary Assistant looking for a positive, drama-free hospital where your work is respected , we would love to meet you. Our specialty hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to support our technicians and specialists in providing exceptional patient care. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, learning new skills, and being part of a collaborative team — without the burnout that often comes with veterinary medicine. Pay Range: $15–$20 per hour (based on experience) We believe veterinary assistants are essential to patient care and hospital success. Our assistants are respected members of the medical team and play an important role in hospital operations.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of veterinary assistant experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in a busy environment
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty experience is not required — we are happy to train the right candidate who is eager to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Safely handling and restraining patients
  • Assisting technicians and specialists with treatments and procedures
  • Performing in-house laboratory work
  • Preparing and maintaining treatment areas
  • Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
  • Restocking supplies and organizing equipment
  • Supporting hospital cleanliness and daily maintenance
  • Assisting the front desk team when needed
  • Helping admit patients and getting them settled comfortably
  • Running in-house lab samples and preparing equipment
  • Keeping treatment areas organized and ready for the next patient
  • Supporting the team so appointments and procedures run smoothly
  • Jumping in where needed — because teamwork is how we succeed
