Requirements

Have at least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience (though we're willing to train the right person!)
You love animals (obviously) and have a calm, steady presence
You’re a great communicator and work well with clients and teammates
You’re organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable
You’re cool under pressure and thrive in a busy hospital setting
You’re eager to learn and grow in your role
You value teamwork and know how to pitch in wherever you’re needed

Nice To Haves

Have experience with venipuncture, patient restraint, or pharmacy knowledge
Are familiar with small animal preventative care and client communication
Have worked in Cornerstone practice management software

Responsibilities

Keeping accurate medical records and helping answer client questions
Prepping patients for exams and surgeries
Administering medications as directed
Assisting with lab testing (blood, fecal, urine, etc.)
Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas
Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes
Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures
Helping educate pet parents on meds, treatments, and care
Partnering with Credentialed Technicians and Veterinarians to provide top-tier care
