About The Position

Veterinary Assistant - Urgent Care Be part of something meaningful - where compassion meets connection. At AcutePet Urgent Care, we’re building a new kind of veterinary urgent care - and it starts with the right team by our side. We’re expanding to Grove City, Ohio, opening in the spring of 2026, and we’re looking for Veterinary Assistants to help us build the warmth and trust that defines every AcutePet experience. Each AcutePet location is built around what matters most: care, connection, and heart—and that’s where you come in. As a Veterinary Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring each patient receives timely, high-quality care while creating a calm, supportive experience for the people who love them. You’ll support our clinical team with hands-on care, including patient restraint, sample collection, radiographs, and cleaning and prepping treatment areas. You’ll also help maintain medical records, assist during exams and procedures, and ensure that pets are handled safely and compassionately throughout their visit. Founded by experienced DVMs, AcutePet is led by veterinary professionals who understand what it takes to support high-functioning teams and create sustainable, well-run hospitals. Our leadership is committed to building an employee-centric culture where teams are supported, empowered, and heard, no matter their role. With guidance from our Chief Medical Officer, a board-certified criticalist, and a network of Managing Veterinarians and Practice Managers, we equip our teams to deliver exceptional, emergency-level care in an urgent care setting, with the confidence that comes from trusted leadership. What It’s Like to Work Here: We’re a team of kind, capable people who show up for each other and our clients. That means collaboration over hierarchy, mentorship without micromanagement, and a culture where every team member matters.
