About The Position
VCA Parkway Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! About Us We are a 2-doctor canine and feline practice in Cary, NC. Our caring and supportive team offers Primary Care, Dentistry, Surgery, Boarding, Grooming, and more. Our hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm, Saturday 8am - 1pm, closed on Sundays. Check out our website here: https://vcahospitals.com/parkway-nc About the Role As Veterinary Assistant, you will support our veterinarians with a variety of duties including surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring, and in- and out-patient care. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with great client service skills.
Requirements
- One or more years of Veterinary Assistant experience
- Able to proficiently perform veterinary technical skills including duties listed above
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full time, must include rotating weekends.
Responsibilities
- Patient care for hospitalized and boarding patients
- Exam room patient check-in
- Client care and education
- Venipuncture and lab sample collection
- Surgical prep and recovery
