Responsibilities

Assist technicians and veterinarians during treatments and procedures.
Clean and straighten exam rooms to prepare for incoming patients, following OSHA guidelines
Assist technicians with in-house laboratory testing (CBC/chemistry, Intestinal Parasite Exams, preparing cytology slides, etc.)
Accurately document patient care and treatments in the medical record
Collaborate with the team to maintain an efficient workflow and positive hospital culture
Participate in ongoing training and growth opportunities within the practice
Be familiar with infectious and common zoonotic diseases, including prevention, and the steps to reduce or eliminate transmission
Assist in restraining pets in a manner that allows necessary procedures to be done with minimal stress to patients, and ensure the safety of patients and people
Take vitals as requested by doctor; draw up vaccines, flea/tick medication/prevention, etc.
Assist with boarding as necessary
