Veterinary Assistant
About The Position
Commencement Bay Animal Hospital has an opening for a full-time experienced (2-3 years) veterinary assistant. Responsibilities include, first and above all else, being empathetic and compassionate. We are a small animal hospital providing a wide variety of services from preventative care and vaccines to advanced diagnostics, management of chronic illness, and intricate surgery. We have very close bonds with our clients, and they expect high-quality care. Prefer experience with AviMark, as we are a paper-light practice, but we will happily train the right person. Computer experience is a must. As a veterinary assistant, you will be taking patient history and vitals, performing a variety of lab work, assisting the Veterinarian in surgery, assisting the technician with duties assigned, reception duties as needed. Must be professional in appearance and attitude, have reliable attendance, as well as be friendly and interactive with our valued clients and patients. We are open Monday - Friday, closed on weekends.
